New Carrier Issues

Postby byteme2000 » Mon Dec 01, 2014 3:53 pm

I’m having difficulty getting a new carrier to work properly. When I first setup my ViciDial dialers (4 of them) I had 2 carriers that still work great. The issue is new ones I setup are not working as well.

I’m having this issue on any new carrier I try to setup.

I can setup a new carrier and it works just fine with one call and then with several calls. Once I try putting our entire floor on the new carrier the system seems to choke almost to a stop.

I checked the carrier and they say that our system is cancelling the connection. They show the connection being good then our system cancels.

The carrier says the do not put restrictions on Calls Per Second
I’ve tried playing with the connection timeout on the campaigns. – No luck.
I thought it might be a firewall issue on my end so I took the dialers out of the fire wall. – No luck
When I check the vicidial_carrier_log table I see many dialstatus fields of CANCEL. (but there are a bunch with CANCEL for my good carriers.

Below are my Dial Plan settings. I’ve changed them many times but this copy is almost exactly the same as my good carriers.

Any thoughts? What am I missing?

Thanks

Firstly are you using a firewall, if so, the rule you have for traffic from your dialers might need to have NAT enabled. secondly make sure flowroute has the internet facing ip address of your network so that it will accept traffic from you. lastly try changing your dial plan entry to look like this;

Code: Select all
exten => _91XXXNXXXXXX,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _91XXXNXXXXXX,2,Dial(SIP/flowroute/username*${EXTEN:1},,Ttor)
exten => _91XXXNX
XXXXX,n,Hangup

I will also warn you about flowroute, if you have a high percentage of short duration calls, i think more than 10%, you will get eat up in fees for these short duration call. (they dont tell you about this... or at least up front)

we use intelepeer.

Iz3k24I,

Thanks for the repoly. I gave your suggestion a try but still slower than I 'd like.

I might keep them as an emergency backup but currently they are just too slow to use.

thanks for the recommendation on the carrier. I'll check them out.
