Vicibox Install W/C 9/2/2015 - Zombies + No Services
Posted: Fri Feb 20, 2015 9:08 am
Installing Vicibox 6.0.3
New Keys need to be authorized from Vici repositories.
Authorizing Keys:
If zypper update is ran, afterbooting Zombie processes increase 1 every second - Currently on 8000!!
Seems to consist mostly of screen / sendmail / nrpe
When connecting to the server via ssh or on the box, takes 30 seconds to log in.
Cannot find any services:
"# service asterisk status
asterisk is neither service nor target!?"
Cannot take commands:
# reboot
Failed to open /dev/initctl: No such device or address
Failed to talk to init daemon.
----
Un-Authorizing Keys:
Everything is fine except asterisk cannot start! - Defeats the whole object.
Once the keys are authorized and system updated, the system works perfect in regards to asterisk but ZOMBIES!!
Cannot find any services
"# service asterisk status
asterisk is neither service nor target!?"
Cannot take commands:
# reboot
Failed to open /dev/initctl: No such device or address
Failed to talk to init daemon.
Any idea's anybody? I think this may be relating to a kernel bug issue once downloaded from Vici repositories?
Anybody else having this issue?
