I've got a program that takes inbound calls and when the agent answers the call they need to get a unique ID number from the customer calling in. Once they have the unique ID they enter it into a field in the script and click submit and the customer's information populates into several other fields on the script. Is there a way I can safely inject that data into the lead record? I know I could just insert the values into the record in vicidial_list with the corresponding lead_id but that will get wiped out at disposition time with blank data, since the fields are not populated on the vicidial form interface. Can anyone offer a solution? I also need that infomation to be passed to the closer's interface so It would be great if I could get it right into the lead list.

It looks like I can use the 'update_fields' function in the Agent API to do this. That's great!
