calling outside set calling times

Hi everyone,

I'm running VERSION: 2.10-461a , BUILD: 141212-0930 and have an issue, we are calling outside the designated calling times.

I have a ratio outbound campaign setup, calling times 9AM-9PM , no filters applied.

We call all over the world, but a few days ago we started having issues because we started calling Russia way before 9 AM (about 6 AM to be more specific). We would not have even caught it but our provider was kind enough to send us some friendly warnings to stop doing this.

Any ideas on how I can approach the problem and see what caused the change? (issue was never reported before and we used the same provider for the past 6 months)

Please always include your installation method with version (which may be the .iso image name on the disk used ... or may be in the Splash screen when you log in via SSH in Putty).

This issue is not related to your provider, unless the "provider" of which you speak is providing you leads and they altered the way in which they sent data (for instance: They used to provide a country code, and stopped ...).

Find a single example of someone called "out of Time Zone proper time" and check that one lead in your DB. Check the database entry for the "gmt_offset_now" field and see if it is correct. Also check the "country_code" field.

There is a script that runs nightly to check the TZ of all leads and update them if necessary. If it can not determine the TZ ... failure can occur. The information necessary to gather the correct TZ differs from country to country. In the US it can include the Zip Code, Area Code and (of course) country code.

That's where your search will begin. Also worthy of note is that this information can change or could be broken .. so going over the manual for all things "Time Zone" may be a good idea.

Happy Hunting! 8-)

There is an option to force a timezone for a specific lead using the "owner" field and setting the List setting to use the Owner field accordingly. For Russia(which has many time zones) you should probably look up what time zone each of your contacts should be in, and set them accordingly.
