dialer delays [Resolved]

Postby dreedy » Wed Dec 30, 2015 12:47 pm

First thing this morning we had system delay and the website was lagging out really bad. This was causing individuals to be randomly paused and or kicked from the system. I checked the sql which is on a separate server and while i do have some entries in the slow_logs i had to get everyone running and the ultimate decision was to reboot the servers for a fresh start.

I was getting an error in the asterisk logs of this

ast_queue_frame: Exceptionally long voice queue length queuing

Has anyone seen this in recent times ? I did a google search and all the entries were from 2009 and 2010 when asterisk was still in 1.2 and 1.4. We are using astersik 1.8

Do you reboot your servers nightly?

If not, you'll want to start doing that now. DB first, 5-10 minutes before the others to be sure it's online before the others start up.

Thanks for the response back. Over a 2 day period this and another error were coming up as an issue. I think the second issue was maximum tries exceeded on transmission. I scoured the logs and while mysql has some instances of slow logs it didn't produce any real resolution to this issue i was having. As you can see i have a cluster and dug into each server to be on the safe side. With my eyes crossed from all those logs I had eliminated each on until i came to think of this as an external issue. On the first day i rebooted our firewall and the single switch that was hosting the voip severs and this resolved the issue, but it left me without a true resolution. Then the next day it happened again but not at the begin of the day. This time i reset the switch the voip equipment was on and it resolved the issue. I have since moved all the voip equipment of that switch to another on and it has not had and issue since.
