I have these dial statuses set for auto alt dialing:
AM
AL
AFAX
ADCT
ADC
AB
AA
A
B
N
NA
DC

Dial Method: RATIO
Auto Dial Level: 1
Auto Alt-Number Dialing: ALT_ONLY

When I post a call as Not Interested or Sale it still dials the alt number. Why?

There are two more settings to check at campaign configuration screen:

-- lead recycling statuses
-- alt auto dial statuses

Can you please elaborate?

Login into Vicidial administration screen.
Click 'campaigns' in the left pane. You see 'Alt Auto Dial' and 'Lead Recycling' links.
Click on any of the mentioned links and select desired campaign to configure.
'Alt Auto Dial' is to set call statuses which will cause alternative number dialing.
'Lead Recycling' is to set call statuses which will be dialed in the campaign.
