Busy Lamp Polycom

Postby wadams7029 » Fri Jul 28, 2017 2:09 pm

Hello!

I was wondering if anyone had found a rapid (or near rapid) way to get the busy lamp running on Polycom SIP phones.

Thanks!

Polycom phones are programmable. The binary that you upload into them can have all sorts of goodies in it. It can load a contact list from a server for instance, and be part of a "paging group" which allows broadcast automatically from the speaker of all phones in a group ("Can Melody come to the front office please ..."). All sorts of toys.

The busy lamp, specifically, I've never dealt with. It may vary from phone to phone. Look up the user manual for the model you have. You may find out it's already there and you just don't know how to use it (or as is often the case, it's not used for what you think it is!).
