ViciBox Install Error

We are adding a new web server to existing cluster, then will turn off Apache on existing web/asterisk server. During install from ViciBox ISO 7x86_64-7.0.4, when vicibox-install tries to connect to existing database server, we keep getting error:

DBD::mysql::st execute failed: MySQL server has gone away at /usr/local/bin/vicibox-install line 371, <STDIN> line 29.
Executing sthFIRSTWEB: MySQL server has gone away at /usr/local/bin/vicibox-install line 371, <STDIN> line 29.

We have clustered and added to cluster many times but this is the first time we ran across this. Checked database permissions for cron and custom, they can access from this LAN no problem. Existing dialers and web server working fine on this database. Tried plugging the new web server into same switch as database server. No luck.
Line 371 of vicibox-install is where it checks for database connection.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Been trying to get this install done for 2 weeks now.

Did you test from This Server or merely from another server on the same LAN? Test it directly from the CLI of the server being installed. At the very least pull a user list from the vicidial_users table before the install. If that fails, you can't install until it succeeds. This does not count from any other workstation or server, it has to be the one being installed.

Note that sometimes the installer will require that the cron pass be 1234 at least during installation.
