AST_reset_mysql_vars.pl logout agents

Hi,
We have Vicidial installation, that works in 24\7 mode.

We change running /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_reset_mysql_vars.pl only once per week. It works without any visible problems.
Is it possible to exclude this script from cron?

Other question according AST_DB_optimize.pl. This script also has negative impact on contact center availability while script running, because some tables are locked during optimization.
It seems to me there is only one way to reduce script running time. We move older than one-week log records to archive tables.
Do you have any other recommendations?

Are you really working 24 hrs / 7 days (you don't have a couple of minutes e.g. on Sundays)? Don't exclude it from cron, but once a week is ok if it's not a heavy dialing system.
