Restrict Agents to 8 Hours Calling Per Day

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to restrict every agent to dial only for 8 hours per day.

Kindly post your suggestions or help me how to achieve it.

Hello,

I suggest you to explore the shift and schedule per user group available in the Admin menu.
I also created my own custom script to enforce agents to logout/login at specific time of the day.

Thanks for your reply.

Call Time / Shift time allows all agents to login and take calls at certain time period but it doesn't restrict the dial time.

Can you share me the script to enforce agents logout and login ?

admin->Phones->(choose phone)->Phone Context

Change this value from "default", which allows agents to dial directly from their phones, to "jail", which does not exist. This blocks the agents from dialing directly from their phones. They must log in and dial from their agent session. Assuming you have

Users->(choose user)->Agent Call Manual

set to "1", then the agents can dial from their agent screen in the manual dial pane. But if the phone context is "jail" they can't dial unless they can log in. Then your shift restrictions are ALSO dial restrictions.

Added benefit: Everything they do is now recorded and attached to a lead instead of being completely unrestricted. You're running a call center, not a coffee shop. 8-)

enforced agent logout is now part of Vicidial core.
