Vicidial on Amazon Ec2 Instance

Heloo Everyone,

I have installed asterisk 14 with vicidial 2.14 on Amazon Ec2 Centos 7.6 Server. Installation everything has completed with out any issue. But presently am able to see only a2 manger socket is connected. Also noticed that unable to connect the asterisk manger.

Please refer the below command details for your reference.

screen -list

There are screens on:
6947.asterisk (Detached)
6932.astshell20190717065456 (Detached)
2 Sockets in /var/run/screen/S-root.


asterisk -rx "manager show connected"
Username IP Address Start Elapsed FileDes HttpCnt Read Write
0 users connected.


I have updated the IP with this script /usr/share/astguiclient/ADMIN_update_server_ip.pl

Tried the loopback(172.0.0.1), server local ip and server public ip. still the result is same.

Whether vicidial will work with amazon ec2 instance ?

IF work . Can anyone help me to find out the issue ?

Install asterisk 13 instead of 14. In fact, you should install asterisk 13-vici directly from the asterisk downloads site.

Also: It's best if you post a link to the installation instructions you used (or look for some). Re-inventing the installation procedure is not recommended. Vicidial is an abnormal install.

I have installed the Asterisk 13.21.0-vici on the amazon Ec2 Server and still the asterisk manger is not getting connected.
Also Screen socket is showing only 2 is connected.

does vicidial will work work on Amazon Ec2 Centos 7.6 Server ?

Vicidial will "work" on any linux environment. But if you do not install from an .iso installer specific to Vicidial, you are fighting an uphill battle to get the environment perfect for Vicidial.

Goautodial USED TO have a viable installation wiki page on their site for CentOS. But they began the upgrade to the next version and stopped before completion, which is a bit of a bummer cuz their installation was quite solid IF you require CentOS. I'm not sure if the old version is still visible anywhere.

You might do better with OpenSUSE and perform a parallel installation with a local box using Vicibox 8.1.2 and "simulate" their .iso installation method.

Yes, vici works on ec2.. i have several servers running with no issue. Maybe you miss something during your installation.

I also faced issues when i first install the vici.. double check your installation im sure you will find the culprit..

I follow ray-solomon setup.. im not sure i cannot open the link now. I only adjust the linux part more specially the version i use is not the same on the said link.
