Multi-lead with owner-only dialing. Is it possible?

Our client wants to dial up to 7 phone numbers, but their leads are supposed to be dialed only by specific agents. So, can multi-lead be used with owner-only dialing?
Since both use the 'owner' field for its own purposes, I believe there may be a conflict.
If this can't be used, what would be the second best option? I'm thinking exclusive campaigns per agent, but I wanted to be sure there was nowhere else to go first.
