Hello there,
I have goautodial 3.3 with asterisk 1.8 running.

I want to play .mp3 files though my dialplan, I installed already mpg123
exten => 1255,n,MP3Player(file.mp3) -not working.

kindly guide to go ahead.

My Suggestion: If you use wav than mp3 it will be very useful to clear audio in phone.

Answer for your question:

Upload your sound file in sound directory.

Asterisk Dialplan for playing music file is

exten => 1255,n,Playback(file.wav)

It will play your audio file, if you call 1255 from your extension.

wav and gsm and others already working well, I need solution for MP3 files, as I need to run few mp3 directly without converting to wav.
Kindly consider and give me solution to run mp3.
