Asterisk and SQL server.

Hi everyone,
First of all I need to tell that i have some knowledge about vicidial and asterisk but not that much. I'm still learning but couldn't find everything in the manual. That is why i've joined the forum.
Could someone plse help and explain to me how can I put in place a SQL server on Asterisk to be able to do exports of a large number of leads.
I have followed some steps but each time I'm getting [ISQL] ERROR: Could not SQLConnect.
I will be very grateful if someone could help me on that issue please.

well you need to provide more information on what versions your using, i am going to assume you are using vicibox 9.0.3 since you are new, have you been able to load ANY leads? and mysql comes with vicibox and is how asterisks and vicidial interact, how many leads are you trying to load?
