What is the cheapest best SIP/telephony service?

If my server is in the USA but lets say I reside in Mexico and im logging into vicidial to call out of mexico, would the SIP minutes be considered USA since the server is in the USA or since I live in Mexico would they be considered Mexican minutes? USA minutes appear to be very cheap.

If i am doing IVR or press 1 campaigns on vicidial those would cost me outbound minutes right? Then the inbound calls would be considered inbound minutes.. Right?

Would i need 1 trunk for outbound and another trunk for inbound?

Thank you

Generally, when you are calling out, you want to get a SIP trunk in the country whose numbers you are calling. If you want to call US numbers, get US trunks, (you will also need 1 or multiple indials) that way leads will see you as calling from the US and you won't be charged exorbitant prices. I (in Australia) can get US trunks and the only charge to me is exactly the same as someone in the US getting a US trunk as all of the voice is carried over the internet until it reaches the SIP provider. Note: you will likely need to comply with US laws if you are calling there, I'm not a lawyer.

Yes, if you are initiating the call (even for IVR/press 1 campaigns) you will be charged for the call, just in real life. Generally, inbound calls are free (at least for us in Australia), you may have a set charge for having a particular US number though.

Inbound calls are free to a mobile or landline, not to a dialer, lets clear that up....just so he doesnt get confused

You guys get charged for inbound calls? Surely not. As in calls originating from someone else? None of the SIP trunks I've worked with in Australia have fees for inbound calls.
