Install Vicidial to use E1 as carrier trunk

Hello,
I am new to Vicidial. We have the following requirements and would need some suggestions to decide if Vicidial/vicibox is ideal for our environment.
1. We have 12 agents currently to grow up to 25 in three to five years.
2. All our customers are in country using GSM
3. We have an E1 line from the same GSM provider to provide local DID numbers with short code

Our plan
Option One
We want to install a digium E1 card to our HP server, install vicibox on the same server and connect the E1 line from the telco to the same server as Vicidial

Option two
Get a digital gateway to interconnect with telco, install free PBX and install vicibox.

Please assist me find the approate way to setup a call center with vicidial using E1 Carrier.

I followed the post to install TE133p digium card. I can't find the file /etc/modprob/dahdi.conf to set the default pri line to E1. Any reason and what can I do?

Sorry, I ment dahdi.conf file is not in /etc/modprobe.d/, I am using vicibox 9.0

I assume you want to install FreePBX to handle the E1 card as you're having hard time to set up the card with VICIBOX most the time the problem with PCI card and Asterisk is the dahdi version, there are certain versions of dahdi who doesn't work properly on current kernel

Advice for "smooth running":

Set up the machine that has the E1 card with Vanilla Asterisk. This will allow that box to convert the calls to SIP and send them to ... wherever you need them. If there are any requirements for upgrade, this box is now immune to any requirements from any other part of the system and can even be used to shunt calls to other servers or systems easily. Support is now "pure asterisk" vs "E1 card" which tends to reduce the stress level of any support requests. (There is often finger pointing and "this is not a standard system so we can't help" .. easily refuted with "STOCK asterisk, which is what your card was built for, fix it or give back my $$.")

When the HD for the Vicidial server dies and you must reinstall (or for any other reason) this server is once again immune.
Additionally, when the E1 card dies, you don't need to disassemble the Vicidial server or work out Drivers for the new card. Also applies to getting a newer-cooler card.

If you end up with a multi-server solution ... the Vanilla Vicidial server can send calls to any/all servers independently without affecting any Vicidial functions.

It does require an extra server, but that can make your E1 card a "sip conversion appliance" and as far as Vicidial is concerned, that box is your SIP Provider. So now even your Vicidial support questions are simplified since there's No E1 card involved in that server.

As seen above, I still see 24 channels rather than 32. Do I need internet connection to install the card? Do I need the E1 line connected to my server?

1) Set the driver to E1 mode
2) specify the loadzone and defaultzone.
3) Configure the SPAN Map.
For each T1/E1 you are using, you will need to define a span. The SPAN map includes defining the SPAN number, timing, line build out, framing, and coding.

4) Specify the channel definitions.

5) Specify the echo canceller to be used for each channel.

Change the bchan from 1-23 to 1-31 and the dchan to 32 on each span change the number accordingly

make sure to load correct driver

Remove the previous driver and restart once the dahdi driver.
modprobe -r dahdi wcte43xp

then run
modprobe wcte13xp default_linemode=e1
dahdi_genconf -v
systemctl restrart dahdi
