Difference between MAIN and MANUAL_DIALNOW

When you look at the agent stats page under the table manual outbound calls there are entries that show up as call type:
MAIN or ALT
MANUAL_DIALNOW
Is MANUAL_DIALNOW the moment where the agent uses the manual dial screen and are MAIN/ALT shown when the agent dials a callback or uses alt number dialing?
