duplicate leads/sales

We are having around 8-12 lists for 1 campaign . When we upload leads to a new list for same campaign there are some number of duplicate from previous list . even with enable duplicate check in vicidial , it only checks for dupes in same list and not from different list . Due to this same leads have different entries so even if a agent marks a lead as SALE .. the lead might still come abck in campaign because other duplicate entry has different status .

Any recommendation on an effective way to stop duplicate leads ( i am not really a sql junkie ) .
What would be proper sql query which will select phone number of leads with status as sale and check database for other entry with same number and mark is as SALE too ?


/EDIT: Got it sorted .. copied all sale number in another table ( once if they exists multiple time ) and then update vicidial_list table comparing from other table ..

I think there must be option in lead loader to check for dupes from all list assigned to single campaign .

That option is currently in the SVN codebase for the next release. It works very well, and gives an accounting of the duplicates on the screen. There is also a new perl script that can de-duplicate live lists in the vicidial_list table.

Thats great to hear matt . I will be upgrading to vicidial 2.0.3 soon ( 2.0.2 is working so nicely so i am not upgrading yet ) . The feature you are talking about is not in 2.0.3 package on eflo.net right ? Is it only in current svn ?

These new lead duplication scripts are not in the 2.0.3 release, but they are in the SVN codebase that will become 2.0.4 when it is released(Hopefully in July or August).

Keep in mind that for the SVN code you will have to make some changes to the database, and there have been some restructuring changes made to the admin.php system as well. There are also some features that are not live, but you can see parts of them.

With all of that said, the SVN code is in production at several companies right now, so it is stable.
