Switch Form Button Doesn't Transfer Custom Data to New Form

Postby bronson » Thu Dec 14, 2023 4:45 pm

We're collecting custom fields data on the Form tab in the Opener campaign.

Leads in the Opener campaign get pushed to a new list using the "dispo_move_list" feature. That part is working fine and the leads are being transferred over to the new list with all the custom field data retained.

These leads are then called by the Closer in a Closer campaign.

The closer needs to collect additional data so we're using the "Switch" field on the form so that the closer can collect additional information from the lead.

When the Closer calls the lead back and clicks the Switch Form Button on the Form tab, the custom field data does not transfer over to the Closer form. The standard fields (first_name, last_name, email, etc) all transfer over to the Closer form, but data from any custom fields do not transfer over.

How to get the custom field data from the Opener form to transfer to the custom field data in the Closer form?

Here are my system specs:

Vicibox10 Express-Install
Version: 2.14b0.5
SVN Version: 3612
DB Schema Version: 1662
Asterisk Version: 13.38.2-vici

Thanks,
bronson

Two possible answers:

1) You can't have two different custom field sets with the same lead. Moving a lead from a list with custom fields to another list with custom fields does not result in a "cumulative" custom field set for that one lead. Each lead can be in only one list's "custom field" arrangement.

2) The custom fields for any lead are determined by the "entry_list" value. If your "dispo move list" use does not populate that field with the original list id, the custom fields are left in a place that Vicidial can no longer see them, but the new list's fields are now available (blank, but available). If your dispo move list feature DOES populate that field with the original list id, then the custom fields from the original list will continue to be available and populated in future calls. Unless there's a bug. 8-)

When you use the Custom List Fields "SWITCH FORM" feature, you are just changing the entry_list_id of the lead to a different list_id, the old custom data still exists in the original custom table, but that data is not synced to any other custom table that the lead may be changed to, and there is currently no feature to copy this data to another similar set of custom fields.
