NO ANSWER AUTODIAL - OTHER END DELAYED RING / PLAIN TONE

Postby binbash » Sat Aug 04, 2007 11:09 am

I noticed testing that as soon as the autodialer starts dialing, e.g. a particular number, it shows it is ringing in the system, but, on the other end, it takes so long to have the phone RING. Could this be a reason why it's increasing the no answer autodial ??? also, .. I noticed at the same time that if it rings and is being picked up on two rings or 1 on the client side, it becomes a plain DIAL TONE. It doesnt connect the call.

What's going on ??? What did i miss ??? I wasn't contented w/ a NO ANSWER AUTODIAL with vicidial report so i did an experimentation and found out this issue.

I hope matt can shed light on this. Thanks

Please post what asterisk-cli says when this happens. Does your system work with manual-dial to those numbers? Is you asterisk-perl-module correct installed?

== Spawn extension (default, 15612044912, 2) exited non-zero on 'Local/15612044912@default-c032,2'
-- Executing DeadAGI("Local/15612044912@default-c032,2", "agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log") in new stack
-- AGI Script agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log completed, returning 0

i basically just get this on my cli, .. then i try to manually dial , ... and it's a no answer. I'm just curious, .. 'coz i tried to call a voip phone here @ home and i can call it using eyebeam only, .. I can hear it ring in EYEBEAM but it takes 4-5 rings in eyebeam before i eventually hear the RING of the PHONE ITSELF. So wierd.

As for asterisk-perl .... 0.8 .. just followed the scratch install.
