agents.conf + Linux Telephony Device

Postby mkaufmaWork » Mon Aug 06, 2007 9:57 am

Hi all,

Two small questions:
1. Do I have to configure each of the vicidial agent as an asterisk agent in agents.conf?

2. MUST I have to have a Linux telephony device to use VICIDIAL? Can I use a SIP softphone to emulate that device?

Thanks,

Micky

You should avoid adding agents in agents.conf as Vicidial uses its own queueing system. Nowhere did it say in the scratch install that you should change agents.conf

Yes. You need a SIP softphone/ channel bank/ sip ata device in order to use Vicidial.
