cant hear the customer

hi all,

sorry, this is the night of the problems.

when i login to the agent screen, my voip client rings and when i pick up i cant hear anything. the same happens to the anouncement "you are the only person in this conference"

server is debian etch, timing device is ztdummy. voip client is sip and outbound is also sip.

is there someone who could help? thanks......

Hi

other post you were saying you able to make calls ?

its confusing, us to suggest, check network status
between client and server by pinging packet loss

and check the Codec and software client

hi ram,

2 different systems, 2 different probs. ;-)

on this system i can make direkt calls through asterisk with alaw, gsm, g726
when i log in to the agent screen the phone rings but when i pick up thers nothing. normally there is the anouncement "you are currently...", but i cant hear anything. i use phonerlite as sip client and it says codec out: alaw, codec in: nothing.

im currently using the newest astguiclient and asterisk 1.2.24.
the network is very good, ping 5sec and no packet loss.

any suggestions? thanx in advance.

Thats the error message I get:

NOTICE[30386]: channel.c:2514 __ast_request_and_dial: Unable to request
channel SIP/300

I also don't hear the announcements...

I think your problem is with extensions.conf

is a good idea put content of your extensions.conf, sip.conf and CLI of your asterisk in this post
