what do you mean by that?
i use freepbx and my provider is setup in the trunk section of it but i don't have a registry string added.. its simply a context with the host ips and dtmf settings and what codec i prefer. All this is in sip.conf. Does this mean I'm not registered to my provider because i don't have the registry string?

You should use those extensions in your dialplan instead of the ones above them. delete the ones above and uncomment the ones below those lines you posted and do a "reload" or Asterisk.
