Hi,
All-in-one setup is working fine with me.
When setting up a multi * server, does it mean to install(scratch_install) everything just like the all-in-one setup? (e.g. asterisk+vicidial,apache,php&mysql)
and then follow the load_balancing.txt?

You can install:
1 Web Server (if you need. You can install more than web server)
1 DataBase Server
1 Asterisk/Vicidial (if you need more asterisk/vicidial, follow the load balancing document)

Matt,
please enlighten me
heres my setup:
-server1: asterisk+vicidial+php+apache
-server2: asterisk+vicidial+php+apache
-server3: mysql-db-server
-server1&2: points mysql-db-server ip add (dbconnect.php & /etc/astguiclient.conf)
-add conference & vicidial_conferences entries to mysql-db-server with server1&2 ip address
-at iax.conf register iax trunk(load_balance.txt).i can see both server1&2 are registered/authenticated
-in both servers: declare variables in extensions.conf(load_balance.txt). also, SIPtrunk is present(use in outgoing call)
-change VDAD exten(server1&2) to 8367
-sip account for agent1 with server1 ip address
-sip account for agent2 with server2 ip address
-agent1 logged in @server1
-agent2 logged in @server2
-both are working(predictive&manual dialing)
but i still dont understand these(assuming it is correct):
exten => _192*168*000*179*8600XXX,1,Dial(${TRUNKIAX1}/${EXTEN:16},55,o)
exten => _192*168*000*179*8600XXX,2,Hangup
--i dont see any logs in CLI when server1&2 are dialing. agents on call.
--one more thing, since i'm using SIPtrunk for outbound calls, i dont see any iax trunk usage.
Thanks.

First of all, you better must have:
- server1: asterisk+vicidial
-server2: asterisk+vicidial
-server3: mysql-db-server
-server 4: Web server (php+apache)
OR
- server1: asterisk+vicidial
-server2: asterisk+vicidial
-server3: mysql-db-server+Web server (php+apache)
