Pl help me the way to take backup of asterisk database in VICIDIAL

mysqldump --opt -pYOURPASSWORD asterisk > FILENAME.sql

This would be the most simplest way of a DB backup (changing the YOURPASSWORD and FILENAME to suite your needs)

I prefer to use 'mysqlhotcopy'. It's really fast and easy to use.

you just have to make sure no one is using the dialer
