Hyperlinking To External Database

Hi all,

I have a question -- our office just installed VICIDIAL but is using an existing MySQL database with Mozilla Firefox to access it.

I want to create a hyperlink when the VICIDIAL account pops up to link to our existing database.

I've tried building a hyperlink in the comments section of the list upload, but it just comes across as text.

Can anyone think of how I can link to our existing database?

Thanks,
Blair

There are a lot of ways of doing it. You may want to look in the help screen for the SCRIPT part of the admin page, it shows you how to make a custom URL to link your CRM in an IFRAME so that it shows up inside your VICIDIAL window.

Another option is to use the WEB FORM to bring up your CRM in a new window.

I'm trying the script end of things, and it doesn't seem to be working.

I'm uploading my sourceid is my internal file number, but it doesn't seem to llike it in the constructed hyperlink.

As well my frame is too small, regardless of what I set the width and height to.

Help?

Code: Select all
<iframe src="h  t  t p ://10.100.0.10/search_detail.php?id=--A--source_id--B--">style="width:500;height:500" width="500"height="500"</iframe>--A--source_id--B--

What does the address show up as when you put it in the SCRIPT tab?

There might be some minor HTML editing to make your SCRIPT window bigger. This should be configurable in the next release.

I got it working in a script ...

<A href="h t t p ://10.100.0.10/search_detail.php?id=--A--vendor_lead_code--B--" target="_blank">DRM</A>

hmm but it seems to append to the href the actual url...

in my case that goes like this:

http://vicidialipaddres/vicidial/h t t p : // 10.10.10.10/search_details.php?var
