hi, sorry for posting it here.. since vicidial is mostly on linux, i encountered a problem that most of you have encountered too. I got the error below:

NETDEV WATCHDOG eth0 timed out

when i searched google it says its a kernel bug. Im using kernel 2.6.18-5 right now on debian4. It says it will go away when i add noapic on grub.conf OR i upgrade the debian kernel to 2.6.23-9... The link below explains the bug..

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions ... page2.html

How did u go around this? It only happens once a day or none at all or when the lancard has heavy traffic.. the only thing i can do is reboot the whole system but obviously calls get cut off when it happens. It also happen on my newly installed test server.. Any ideas on how to solve it? Thanks in advance..

Hi

its purely network issue and PCI IRQ conflict issue

better change the PCI slot from exisiting slot to new slot

and disable devices in bios which you are not using.

also you need to mention what is the hardware config / Server brand or Intel boards / ethernet card names to recomend something other boards.

better take this as OT. many people many not be intrested. join in Linux Distro Group and ask this question will be fast reply.
