vc 2.0.4 list loader acting crazy

I just installed vicidial 2.0.4 on Ubuntu 7.10 server . Everything looks fine but my super list loader is acting funny (custom layout ) . When i provide it a xls file , file is uploaded it goes to next page but at top shows "Processing TAB delimited file" and all the entries in selection are random and corrupt . When i provide it a .csv file , it decides that file is tab delimited format and again gives whole CSV values in one same line . Perl modules reinstalled by apt-get . I can see vicidial_temp_file.txt created when i upload file ( also confirmed by dloading file ) . So php upload is fine . Any hint what is causing problem ?

I noticed in 2.0.3 that the super list loader was not processing csv files correctly. I did not try the xls files. I was eventually able to get it to work with pipe seperated values. To get this I just ran the file through search and replace in notepad++ and replaced all "," with "|". Just got to be careful that there are not any commas in the middle of a feild.

Yeh its working fine for me with tab delimited format but its bit annoying to convert each file , my other 2.0.3 setup takes xls,csv and all fine . Could this be problem with perl ? Where should i start looking ..

the lead loader only knows the kind of file by the file extension, .xls is the only way to tell it that it is an Excel file, .csv is how it knows it's a CSV file and anything else should be processed as text.

If you have any confirmed files that do not load, please upload a sample file to the tracker and post a link to the issue here.

i am sure files were name .xls , and also it picked tav delimited from .csv but didnt pick comma seperated. I will get back with some more details .
