Sending a call to leave an automated answer

I am trying to get the dialer to send the automated message when in manual calling mode and agent connects with an answering machine. I maybe wrong, but I thought that I read somewhere that an answering machine button should be available in the dialer that would allow you to send the call to the automated message. Can anyone tell me how this needs to be configured?

It's not available via manual mode. Only on auto-dial mode can it do that.

I think it can be done.
Make sure the user has hot keys turned on
In the campaign setting there is a setting for the voicemail extension as well as the AMD setection. Put the voicemail extension (the one that contains the recorded message).
When you run a campaign and a answering machine starts I think you press tranfer call and a voice mail button will be available (VM) if you press that, it will transfer the call to the voice

You can use the transfer conf feature for VM to send a call to a pre-recorded message.
(make sure the Answering Machine Message field has a valid exten in it)
- Click on the TRANSFER CONF button
- Click on the VM button in the lower-right side of the transfer-conf frame
