Ratio method is not working , but Manual Dial is sending calls to the agents fine.
Sorry to post another one yet again on this. i couldn't find a thread that sorted my problem.

I checked the h extension, the entries in extensions.conf and mysql entries, also /etc/astguiclient.conf. they all seem correct to me. Also vicidial_auto_calls table is empty when there is no calls live.

I am now knowing thatthis is the only problem .

After setting the Keepalives in astguiclient.conf to 12345 [no FastLog] and editing out the call_log Fast AgI in dialplan, the auto calls are coming in to the agents.

Kindly help me rectify this error..

It looks like somehow your FastAGI_log script is locked or running.

What Linux distro are you using?

Any reason you haven't upgraded to the release of 2.0.4?

Using Slack 12, re-compiled the default kernel 2.6.21.5.

I used the beta becoz the downloads for 2.0.4 were not happening in any mirror i tried at the time of installation.

I will upgrade right now and post back.

I have not touched the asterisk databse , are there any changes to be made?

I have just removed the old directory and installed the new with perl install.pl .

There are some changes in the database from b1 to the release so you will have to check the update_sql_2.0.4.sql against what you have.

I can't figure it out at all. I have re-installed from scratch, Version 2.0.4, but still the prob persists. All the cron jobs are running fine manually. In manual mode, the call log Fast AGI is not giving any error. The thing is I have another vicidial stand alone server running fine, but this one just wont go.

What logs do I need to post to help someone (read Matt? heheh) help me out.

There seems to be some issue with the network here. i have re-installed both stand alone vicidial servers (the call log FastAGI prob disappeared as myseriously as it came ); they both run OK one at a time (i.e no agents logged in on the other). But for some reason they are not running simultaneously. Auto Dial only is a problem, Manual mode is fine. I still get (billed for ) all the calls dialled out in Ratio or Adapt methods, but the call doesnt conference to the agents logged in.

I have the Server IP set to 192.168.1.x , but the Router has this NATed IP mapped to a Public IP. All entries in MySQL and astguiclient.conf have been entered as the Public IP.

I am wondering if this is some router config issue now. I had recently switched ISPs and re-configured the router accordingly. But I cannot find any difference in the router settings vis-a-vis the old ISP, where the present setup was working OK.

I know it is no longer a Vicidial issue , but any ideasat all will be great , as i am at a total loss.

I am still not able to sort out the issue. I have 2 stand alone vicidial servers on the same network. Each is able to dial out fine in Ratio method , but when one is running, then the other cannot dial out in Ratio - Manual method is fine.

Still trying to sort out the problem here.

Now , on more thing that has got me stumped is this. i wanted to move both the vicidial standalone (vicidial+mysql+apache+the whole thingon each server separately) to a NATed ip.

I run the update server script with wrong options input on one server; I now have the entries in vicidial conferences, conferences, phones, server and serverupdater tables etc as the public IP, but the vicidial server's Ethernet interface is on a NATed IP. There is no other device that is assigned this public IP. But Vicidial worked perfectly well?! it was a very big surprise for me.

I realize now that i know next to nothing about all this, and have to learn a lot from scratch. And I can't solve my problem above , too, heh.
Can we define our own set of entries for the conferences, vicidial conferences ? with corresponding changes in the extensions and meetme conf files of course?

One more thing I found was that , I have assigned the machine an IP addr 192.168.0.10, and mapped a public IP to it on the router. I had been running the same two machines sperately on the same router with the same settings (except that I have changed the ISP), previously with no issues at all. I tried to add one more server in the Database with the NAted IP and put only server_ip in phones table to the NATed IP. I then get No Available Sessions error. So all the server_ip entries must be identical, but can be ficitcious? (i.e the server ip need not actually exist at all?)

All this trial and errors (less trial more error, ) is to sort out and be able to use 2 standalone vicidial servers , otherwise I will go back to load balancing only.

The problem is sorted out. Instead of mapping the static IP in the router/firewall like public ip --> asterisk NATed IP addr and then populating the databse entires with the public IP, I removed the public IP mapping and set up a port fwd on port 22 for myyself for remote support to the client. So both the servers are on a NATed IP only and there is no NAT between the * and the SIP / IAX phones for the agents and the databse entries also have the NATed IPs only.

Now the stand alone vicidial servers are working

Though is now solved, I am at a total loss, how the problem can occurred at all.
