We have been a user of Vici/FreePBX/Asterisk for about 1 year and it has been great.
Anyway: Currently we have one dedicated server at a data center in Denmark running FreePBX/Asterisk/Vicidial - all the latest versions. These are used by 6 agents spread across Europe for outbound sales using soft phones.
Now we want to expand and we found 2 good call centers in Suriname and South Africa, both 250 ms + away from the server. However they both use asterisk servers to dial as well.
How do we have our Vicidial control those servers and our own? - so we can have our agents, and the 2 call centers dialing the same campaigns?
P.S. If the dev. crew ever is willing to accept a new design for vici - I have good graphics guy on staff you can use for free.

How many agents will be in Suriname and South Africa?
Of course we would love to have more designs for a new agent screen. Can it be variable sized and work with at least 800x600 browser resolution(i.e. 780x480 real pixels)?

There will be 3 agents on each location to start with, we want to expand to 20 in total within 3 months. Problem so far is that latency would be to high for a round trip Suriname - Denmark - USA.
I'll have one of my graphics guys look at the current php code and designs to see what is possible.
So does Vici support controlling multiple servers? Do we need to install Vici on every server? Or can the vici in Denmark control the asterisk servers in Suriname and South Africa as well...

You can do it this way
1 MySQL Server
1 Web Server
1 or more Asterisk Servers installed with vicidial (astguiclient)
basically you control them from your webserver, the asterisk servers will just send data to the central mysql server. The webserver will be used as a front end for your agents and for the administrators.
please read the LOAD_BALANCE.txt if you will push through with that setup.

The agents can have phones on the remote systems and you can set up EXTERNAL phones-table entries in VICIDIAL to call them on the remote systems so you do not need to load anything on the foreign servers. We have done many setups like this.

In the end the call center's 1 Mpbs down / 128 Kbps up connection was the bottle neck. Searching for a call center with more bandwidth. (recommendations welcome!).
It wasn't enough bandwidth for more than 6 agents, let a lone MySQL traffic as well.

Was that guaranteed bandwidth?
What codec were you using?

The GSM codec was enabled.
We did a speed test using
http://www.speedtest.net/ but the bandwidth changed throughout the day so it wasn't guaranteed.
Looking into a hosted solution by you guys at the moment - to see if there is a solution. They are able to use the bandwidth with 10 calls from 10 softphones that have a SIP account at xeloq.com without any problem.
