Vicidial Trunks

I have two 2-1s set up on my server. In my mind that should be 48 lines for outbound with 24 going to my channel bank.

I'am very new to the Vici, and for that matter linux world. Help me understand what my setting should be on for the Vicidial Trunks setting. Should it really be 46? Or should it actually be 69 or 72?

Max VICIDIAL Trunks - This field will determine the maximum number of lines that the VICIDIAL auto-dialer will attempt to call on this server. If you want to dedicate two full PRI T1s to VICIDIALing on a server then you would set this to 46. Default is 96.

Do you have RBS(Robbed-bit) T1s or PRIs from the carrier?

For the channelbank you most likely have RBS.

Is it:
- Loop start
- Loop start with disconnect supervision
- E&M Wink start
- E&M Immediate start
- Ground start

Do you have a cut sheet from the carrier?

It would probably be safe to put 48 in your max VICIDIAL trunks since you have 2 x T1 RBS circuits.

You will probably have better luck using PRIs if you can get them.

yeah we'll be geting PRIs once we have a few more of our dialers switched to Vicidial. Right now our old system can't use PRI. I like have universal Ts that will work on either server.
