Can you recommend a good IAX2 provider?
Also when using IAX2 do you need a Digium t1 card or is IAX2 through a Ethernet connection connected to the internet?
Thanks

You do not need a Zaptel timer(Digium, Sangoma, Rhino card) for standard IAX2 termination. If you want to do IAX trunking then you should have a hardware zaptel timer, but you do not have to do IAX trunking to use IAX trunks.
IAX trunking is an advanced feature of IAX that saves bandwidth allowing more calls to be placed over IAX than through standard IAX.
