PRI line

At present we are using SIP trunks, with X-Lite soft phones. Now we are going for a PRI line am going to use Digium TE122 card. Do i need to use the hardware echo cancellation module. Can I use these soft phones with this line. What do you mean by zap phones. Can we use hard phones for this setup, can you explain how this is done.

Is this a T1 or an E1?
You should not need the EC hardware module, but you might want one depending on the quality of the connection.
for hardphones you can use SIP hardphones or you can get a channelbank or ATAs and hook up standard analog phones.
