Lockup Issue

Not sure what could be causing this but heres the symptoms. Every few days my server just locks up all together.. It only happens on the server running the two local PRI's (sharing D channel). I've talked with Digium and they cannot explain it either.
I have reloaded operating systems I have replaced systems all together and so long as it has the two PRI's it locks up (hard lockup)
anyone ever experience this?

Is it a kernel panic?
Do you see anything on the console when it happens?
Have you memtest the RAM for several hours?

I have not memtested I just upgraded the kernel to see if that makes any difference..
When it locks up it locks up hard (have to hold powerbutton to reboot) there is no trace of why it locks up..
I have tried different systems with different memory different Digium cards.. very wierd..

What kernel version?
We have noticed some weird driver or driver-build issues with versions beyond Linux 2.6.17.11

We are doing source kernel builds on Slackware so I'm not sure if saying it works for us can be translated into saying a Fedora or CentOS build of a similar kernel would work.

Yea I did the same (source build) on this new kernel so hopefully that fixes me up.. I'll let you know.

Interestingly enough the problem is with different asterisk versions. When I take my Asterisk version back to 1.2.7.1 I no longer have lockup issues every other version locks up on me..
Just thought I'd let you all know.

I had an IAX -> Zap issue that cropped up in 1.2.12.1 and is fixed in SVN 1.2 (which now seems to be unstable) so I downgraded to 1.2.7.1 and it works great.
For some reason they did a lot of tinkering with stuff that worked fine in 1.2. So much for a stable release tree.
