reducing cron jobs

I believe if I don't do recording of calls I can comment out all of :
### recording mixing/compressing/ftping scripts
in cron ?

& if I don't use voicemail I can comment out :
### updater for voicemail

& if I don't need time adjustments I can comment out :
### adjust the GMT offset for the leads in the vicidial_list table

without affecting vicidial inner working ?
