Too much delay between 2 calls

Postby Maulik » Mon Mar 23, 2009 2:46 am

I am using auto dial. I have kept auto dial level 1. But when ever there is Busy/Congested status with the call (means when ever call hung up with out connecting to agent), the next call take lots of time to dial. I have kept wrap up time =0. So that should not be the problem. Even I have tried different providers but it is not working. Please advice me to fix this issue.

We are using Asterisk 1.4.18.1. We have also tried with Asterisk 1.4.22. Vicidial 2.0.4.

Once there is a call with the "busy/congested" status, vicidial is not making next call. I have checked Vicidial_auto_calls table also. But there is no record in that so issue doesn't relate to that one also. ntpd service is running fine too. So it's not like after sometime agent goes in Pause mode automatically.

There is something with the auto dial script or status of the call. And it happens when there is "Busy/Congested" status only. If one call is answered then next call does not take more time to dial.

Please attack to the ASTVDauto screen and post some output right after a call is marked Busy.

Are there leads in the hopper when this happens?

That looks normal, the call is placed and then cleared in a few seconds. Not sure what the problems could be.

After call hung up. It is showing LIVE AGENTS LOGGED IN: 0. Do you think this can be the issue?

Does your agent pause after the call, or sit on the Dispo screen after the call?

Agent goes in to Pause mode automatically. It is now showing on screen. But from database I have found that.

I would recommend upgrading to 2.0.5rc3 to see if that fixes your problem. Even if it does not, there are more logging options built in to it that may help.

Try manual dial mode and post CLI output. Ensure you connect to asterisk with screen -r

what is your dial timeout set at? and how does this correlate to the amount of time it takes to make another call (even though the call ends before that timeout)?

Even I am facing the same problem.

Too much of time delay between 2 calls.

Dial Timeout is 26 secs.

ok, dial timeout is set at 26 seconds ... how long is it between calls? "too long" is somewhat subjective.

Hey! Can I argue with that? I have a custom install on Gentoo 64 that is very powerful and rock solid.

Ok, fine, be like that: Vicibox is without question the simplest stable install imaginable.

Hi MAtt, where can we get the files for rc3? I checked the page on SourceForge but no luck.

That's a pretty old comment, you should be looking for 2.0.5.1rc1 at this time.
