asterisk not able to start

iam following scratch installation
after installing asterisk
and configured all the config files mentioned step by step
when i run
asterisk -vvvvvvvvvvvvgc
iam getting the following error
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/agents.conf': Found
[chan_local.so] => (Local Proxy Channel)
== Registered channel type 'Local' (Local Proxy Channel Driver)
[chan_zap.so]Oct 23 13:34:37 WARNING[8259]: loader.c:325 __load_resource: libpri.so.1.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Ouch ... error while writing audio data: : Broken pipe
# find / -name libpri.so.1.0 -print
/root/vici/libpri-1.2.4/libpri.so.1.0
/usr/lib/libpri.so.1.0
how can i resolve this problem
running on FC5 / Asterisk 1.2.12.1 / Pentium 4 with 1GB RAM
