creating a vicidial lead list file, how to?

Postby fastlane101 » Sat Aug 22, 2009 1:38 am

Hi Ya'all, Running ViciDial Now, i purchased the paid version of the administrator manual, stuck on attempting to create a test lead list file to upload to my dialer. here is what i do know:

ViciDial accepts leads as either text delimited, or tab delimited. in other words: a CSV, txt, or xls file.

i have been trying to find out what is the simplest way to go about doing this here is what i would like to do:

first, build a simple txt file with about 6 different personally owned numbers to test the dialing, with only these categories: first, last name, phone number, zip code. i would like to then program the dialer to go by zip codes and complete 1 zip code then go to another..

can any one post a sample of how the lead text inside file should look like?

I am a vici noobie by admission, so all your advice is greatly appreciated.

thank you in advance.

I am inclined to believe that an xls file could work better and be easier to work with as well.. i know the "original" format has 23 fields of data, but i would only need to use the ones i mentioned, rest is not usufull to me at this time.

if i were to do an excell file, should i just place the items i want in colums and attempt to upload the file? or should i follow a certain layout?

Thank you all again, in advance..

There is a sample XLS file included in the extras folder that you could take a look at...

Download ViciDial, unzip it, go into the extras folder, double-click on the XLS file in there.
