Agent Screen language change

Postby dreedy » Wed Jun 14, 2017 2:39 pm

I was wondering if there was any interest in adapting the Agent screen to use the go language for the back end? and updating the front end to Reactjs or Html/CSS model ?

As for changing to "Go" for the back-end programming, no. Nobody would dedicate the thousands of hours of programming time to do that, for the minimal benefit it would provide.

As for the front-end, We're working on making incremental changes, but we've had issues in the past trying to use frameworks like node.js, so I would be hesitant to try react.js. As for CSS, we're very slowly moving in that direction, but I'm not sure we will ever fully adopt it given the size of the codebase.

Ah ok, I was think of doing something with the agent screen and really starting to like to Go language. From all the reading i have been doing it seemed that Go would be a benefit to server side work so i wanted see what everyone had to say.
