Push SMS

Hi,
Is it possible to incorporate a feature that allows basic sms integration? This is how I am suggesting the feature could be included without additional work.

In the campaign, there could be a Allow option PUSH SMS. If yes, it opens a space where the URL can be inserted like you do it for webform. It picks --A--phone_number--B-- , user and customer name similarly if needed and add text in the url itself.

Now when the agent clicks the hangup customer> disposition screen as he disposes, the SMS is auto pushed if enabled for the campaign.

The SMS is sent via a third party server over the internet or LAN whichever way it can be setup.

This feature is required nowadays in all inbound setups to allow taking feedback or providing confirmation of complaint no. etc.

This will be a very nice feature. Will you sponsor the development or part of it vkalp_rg? Maybe Matt will be willing to open a Bounty for this one.

I will let them know you think it is cute. No that is just the page explaining how to create the API. The actual website is here: http://www.bulksmsportal.co.za/

I don't know what the challenges are to integrate Kannel but the project looks interesting:

It would be a lot easier and way cheaper to integrate SMS providers with HTTP APIs to send SMS. Clickatell is expensive and blocked in some countries (at least in India).
