Hi,
Is this feature already added on vicidial trunk not only be able to recycled leads on the selected dial status on the campaign but can recycle leads base on individual dispositon through custom time, day and date.
Sample Answering machine recycle in 3 hours and No answer on the nextday and have custom selection for it..Is this possible..?

Lead recycling is built into Vicidial, but it is NOT recommended to use that version, in an enterprise level system you simply reset your lists on a timed basis. Then ALL leads are recycled according to your Dial Status settings each time the entire list resets. This has been tested by hundreds of call centers and works much better than any attempted "intervention" to redial specific statuses with lead recycling.
Lists can be auto-reset at specific times of the day in SVN Trunk (multiple times can be set). After the reset, leads will be dialed if they still fit the criteria. There is even a "max calls" setting now to stop calling after XX attempts to avoid annoying leads.

Hi I'm new in the forum, I use lead recycling, but reading around I have seem people suggesting to reset leads.
My question comes here, where do I tell the dialer to reset what disposition code to reset.?
I see in the the list the field: "Reset Lead-Called-Status for this list" and "Reset Times"
But I don't see where to enter the disposition codes. Obviously I don't want to reset SALES, or Disconnected numbers. I just want to reset A-AA-B-N-NA only
Thank you and Regards!

You don't specify which dispos, they ALL get reset. But only the "allowed to dial" dispos are loaded into the campaign's hopper, the rest are ignored by the campaign. It's simpler than you're making it.

Thank you William for you prompt answer.
Which ones are the "allowed to dial" dispos? or where do I set them up?
Regards

each campaign has a list of dialable statuses.
you did not perform all the tasks in the free version of the manager's manual. tsk.

I have read that manual long time ago, and I just review and I did not see what I'm looking for here, any ways.
I have in the campaign the following codes under "Add A Dial Status to Call".
Dial Status 1: NA - No Answer AutoDial
Dial Status 2: N - No Answer
Dial Status 3: B - Busy
Dial Status 4: A - Answering Machine
Dial Status 5: AB - Busy Auto
Dial Status 6: AA - Answering Machine Auto
Dial Status 7: NEW - New Lead
Is this the right place?
So if I "Reset Lead-Called-Status for this list", these are the codes the campaign will start re-dialing only.
Thank you one more time!

Hi,
You can churn list with disposition in vicidial / Goautodial through back end with such command....
mysql -p
use asterisk;
update vicidial_list set status='NEW',called_since_last_reset='N' where list_id='104'and status='A';
only need to change list id and status, through this command you can churn a particular disposition.
Thanks...

While technically true, it goes a bit too far IMHO. You can certainly change the reset to N, but don't change the status to NEW. Bad juju. Or as my technical friends like to say "you're messin with the statistics and creating False Data". Counts of NEW will be wrong as will counts of the status you changed them from.
Just changing to not dialed with an external script, however, is quite popular and will allow a much more "detailed" recycling of leads. You can even "age-base" the reset this way to be sure (for instance) to not dial "No Answers" calls for a few hours. Perhaps to be sure to call them at a different time of day the next day (ie: catching them before lunch instead of after work to ensure maximum coverage and likelihood of answer ...).

Why is lead recycling not recommended exactly? We use it on lists of up to 10 000 leads and set it to dial statuses like busy, no answer, answering machine, etc, every 3 hours for up to 10 times. We also reset the entire list at least 3 times every time we dialed through the entire list. Thus far we have not encountered problems with this so I would like to know what issues it might cause?

Holy cow, every 3 hours up to 10 times? In the US that would equal a law suit.

usually it causes a lead who called back in to say "STOP CALLING ME OR I'LL SUE YOU!" to get called again about 30 seconds later. It also happens that calls get "stuck" and called continually. Odd coincidences have to happen for a problem, and usually it's related to calling someone back more than a couple minutes into the future. It's MEANT for "Busy - call again in 5 minutes", but often is used for "Answering machine - call again in a few hours". Then the recipient calls back seriously upset about getting too many calls (after seeing another call on their answering machine, with or without a message) and says "Don't Call!" and then 2 hour mark is hit ... and the recycled call kicks in ... followed by a complaint to the FCC.
