Number lookup

In terms of the discussion in this thread http://www.vicidial.org/VICIDIALforum/v ... hp?t=12848 please PM me a quotation for a script that will duplicate all three number fields every hour (I want to edit the time period if needed). I will need instructions on how to implement the script exactly. Please give me a quotation on both manual calling number search and inbound calls as well as for only inbound calls.

in all lists, specific lists, lists connected to specific campaigns ...?

i'd need to know what level this will be, and if you have a preference on "identification method".

the script is easier to write than the quotation. honestly. :)

Hi William

I sent you a PM yesterday but I received no response. It must be as per the current CID lookup options. Whole system, or campaign or list. If possible of course.

the cid lookup options are per campaign. we are talking about whether or not this "action" should be performed on all campaigns, i'm guessing from your response that it's a yes, but i hate guessing :) (especially when $ is involved)

so ... do you want it for all campaigns or do you require a "trigger" or "switch" to make it active for specific campaigns/ingroups?

i somehow overlooked the pm, weird. i don't usually get more than one per week, and i got several that day. i'll get one for you right away (but it's best to have it here in the Job Requests as well) AND i will need the answer for that question up there regardless :)

bear in mind that having ALL leads in ALL campaigns and ingroups duplicated can be cumbersome.

All campaigns will be good and it must be triggered by the standard choices of CID lookup. So if I choose any of the CID lookup methods it must automatically always search for all three numbers.

I understand what you mean with all campaigns. Maybe give me a quotation then for searches only per campaign and one for all campaigns please.

LOL

I see we are having an understanding issue.

You did not request a modification to the "Searches" (those remain the same and only find matches based on phone_number field).

Your request was to duplicate all leads with numbers in fields OTHER than phone_number, and when duplicated the alt_phone and/or address3 field would be moved to phone_number so they would then be found in searches.

the question is ... which lists do we modify in this manner? How do we identify which lists require manipulation?

if we do ALL lists in your system, it is possible that MILLIONS of new records will be created and maintained by these scripts. (MILLIONS) Depending on the records in your system. Now, if you either have very few leads or just WANT all of them duplicated, that's fine. But if you have some lists that you do NOT want modified ... how do we identify them as "hands off"?

either a tag would need to be added per list or per campaign or with some other method.

give me a hint and I can work that out.

We will have millions of leads in our system. Can it be integrated with the standard lookup options? So if I choose CIDLOOKUPRC within one DID it automatically triggers your script to duplicate all the lists within that campaign? Otherwise, can you provide an easy way for us to trigger the duplication?

triggering would be on a timed basis. you do not want every outbound or inbound call to trigger anything (the call can't wait that long).

so these leads would be duplicated on a timed basis (you'll be able to choose the timing)

the searching system will remain untouched.

IF you want the searching system modified, the only way to do it would be to modify the search to check all three fields instead of just phone_number.

this is also doable, but probably cost over twice as much (nice thing about it, though, is that if it's done properly it could become part of the code for Vici)

the question (upon which any quote depends) still remains: how does the system know which lists NOT to duplicate with alt_phone and address3 available for searching? (or will we dupe all of them)

would you like to be able to mark campaigns or lists in some fashion (or just maintain them in a sep web page as active/inactive)?

if you must have all of them active, that's fine, but the amount of work depends on this and thus, the quote.

It will be pretty cool if it can search all three fields..... obviously the best option but it will depend on the quotation.

Otherwise a way to mark certain campaigns to duplicate the numbers, whether in a separate web page or not, will be the next best option. (It is not necessary to duplicate all campaigns)

ok. i'll send a quote over :)

PS: the concept was always all three fields, the question was whether all lists or not.

ALL lists is less expensive, but could create a problem for you if it creates too many leads and extra server load which is unnecessary.

So I'll quote for "Marked Campaigns" only (any active lists associated with marked campaigns). And I'll choose a method to mark them easily.

Looking forward to it :)
