Postby Nefariousparity » Sun Jun 02, 2013 7:13 pm

I have researched looking over and over for. Can't find any answers, The Admin interface is 3hours ahead of system time and agent interface time?

The GOadmin UI is based on the server date. While the GOagent UI is based on your workstation's date. I suggest synchronizing them together.

You can also check this HOWTO:

Gardo, all my installs are based off the ISO. And when I type setup on any of them. There is no "Set TimeZone" option. That is why I have to do it by removing the /etc/localtim/ and then creating a symlink to ln -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/PST8PDT /etc/localtime

Here is a screenshot if I type in "setup" on any of my machines. I don't get the same options you do?

Here is a picture of the current date in the console.

The system time of the machine, is the correct time! GoAutoDial Admin interface is not detecting this? I have also restarted after I changed the times. :) :D

Kind Regards Chris

Looks like you are using RC1 ISO which doesn't have the system date tool. Either you download the latest ISO (RC1b) or install system-config-date via yum.

Code: Select all
#yum install system-config-date

Thank you so much Gardo! You have been the man!

I know for a fact the newest server I have been working on I downloaded this URL. Which I thought was the latest.

Also, If my other servers were just RC1, I did yum update.

####Just Tried doing this the setup way####
Admin panel still stuck three hours ahead.

Is this going to be one of those deal with it or reinstall the ISO kind of things? Two servers I have. I can't get them display correct time in the administrative panel. I have tried everything!! While Agent Screen displays correct time.

Admin ->Servers Local GMT -8

I have tried following:
service ntpd stop
ntpdate us.pool.ntp.org
hwclock --systohc

mv /etc/localtime /etc/localtime.bak
ln -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/PST8PDT /etc/localtime

service ntpd start

I have also tried using:
setup in console

I have also tried setting the timezone in /etc/php.ini
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
; Module Settings ;
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

[Date]
; Defines the default timezone used by the date functions
date.timezone = America/Los_Angeles

And yet, when I type "date" in console yes that is the correct date and time, and in the agent interface is the correct date and time. But in the admin panel, the time is INCORRECT. I have even tried scouring through php code on admin.php, I have also spent hours on google. Please tell me there is a fix for this?

We really can't recreate your issue. The guide from here: http://goautodial.org/projects/goautodialce/wiki/Howto_Set_Timezone_30 correctly sets our system time.
