Does vicidialnow install a software firewall?

Does vicidialnow install a software firewall? If so what is the name of it and where can I edit it. I need to either install samba or an ftp program to backup my files from a windows machine. Thanks

Iptables is used as it's firewall. You can configure the firewall by editing "/etc/sysconfig/iptables" or by running as root: "system-config-securitylevel-tui".

or if it is your lan ... why keep the firewall up ?

sysconfig iptables off
service iptables stop

& no firewall to worry about anymore.
