HI AGAIN TO ALL...I WOULD LIKE TO ASK IF WHAT ARE THE INITIAL CONFIGURATION OF VICIDIALNOW TO BE USED IN SIP SOFTPHONES and configuration with my VOIP..

You can check /etc/asterisk/sip.conf for the SIP entries for the softphones. As for your VoIP carrier, just follow some of the examples there. Please don't use ALL CAPS on your message.

Sorry for the caps mesage....tnxz for the reply...so u min just need to check the sip.conf, how about the extension.conf and also the dial plan..no need to midified the conf. of those things?

You just need to add your VoIP provider's settings in /etc/asterisk/sip.conf if you'll be using SIP. These are carrier specific so you need to ask your provider for this. You also need to ask the pattern of their dialing or the dialplan.

Regarding the settings of the softphones, you don't need to modify anything at all in sip.conf and extensions.conf.
