how to set up the sip trunks?

Ok I am trying this out and am a newbie. I need to know that how do I setup trunks for voip providers?
I am stuck. Can someone guide to right solution.

I am using vicidialnow1.1

ok SIP are in there

I was able to put the sip and configured them in my sip.conf file.
Then I used xlite to register with my server and it registered fine. But when I dial a number or extension it gives me an error that The person you are calling is unavialable please try again

can someone help please

I can not dial out either. It registers my phone fine. However when I make a call gives an error message that person can not be reached. I am using SIP trunk with voisepulse as my provider.

so now I register my xlite with extension 2000 and it registers fine but it doesn't make a call

Hello, John.

Please remember to post your hardware/software configuration, it helps to get used to it (create a signature with that in it, since you only have one box right now, that will simplify it for you).

Have you purchased the manager's manual? That seems to resolve a lot of issues, almost like a tutorial. Very handy.

Do you know how to access and post you "CLI>" output so we can see what is happening inside your dialer when these calls fail? That can tend to speed things up a bit.
