i have use barge and listen in all vicidial version from lan or outsite.
you need a public ip .
then you need to open port forwading from you router to the ip of server .
port : 5060 10000 20000 4569
mybe you need to open http port or ssh or other ;this depand of you use.
finally you will search the file /etc/asterisk/sip.conf
then change this lines:
externip =XXXXX with your public ip and uncomment the line from ; from begin.
reload asterisk
finally you access you server and you use every where ans you are in lan .
enjoy

hi thanks for the reply.

Here are my current setup
LAN IP - xx.xx.xx.xx
WAN IP - xx.xx.xx.xx

on /etc/asterisk/sip.conf
externip = WAN IP

the client can connect to our asterisk using eyebeam, however, on Web Admin --> Reports --> Listen

The LISTEN link is still pointed to our LAN IP. Example: sip:08600051@LAN_IP.

That's the reason why they heard the person you are calling is unavailable.

How do I point the LISTEN link to our WAN IP.

thanks!

SIP:SessionID@LAN_IP should work fine even though softphone is connected from outside your LAN.

What's asterisk CLI when you try to barge?
What are dialplan entries for the phone you are trying to barge from?
Is this a single server setup?
Can you dial directly from that softphone sessionID or 0+sessionID AND listen to the conference room?
