Call not Connecting

Postby seobirds2011 » Fri Sep 09, 2011 6:46 am

Hi,

Please help me to get rid from the issue of call not connecting. I am getting this error when I try to connect call

WARNING[2847]: chan_sip.c:13264 handle_response_register: Forb idden - wrong password on authentication for REGISTER for 'username' to 'voip ip address'

[Sep 1 20:58:03] NOTICE[2847]: chan_sip.c:8058 sip_reg_timeout: -- Registration for 'username@voip ip address' timed out, trying again (Attempt #4)

May, I need to change in MySQL settings, if so then please send me those settings. I am totally new in doing this.

Any help will be appreciable.

when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

this IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system.

Similar to This:

Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation

The response is in english almost. You must contact your provider and find out the correct user/password or other credentials.

Perhaps you could post your SIP acount settings (mask your user/pass) and the settings sent to you by your provider (with user/pass masked as well). but the response is clear: wrong user/pass. Is it possible you should not be using a user/pass? but ip authentication instead?

Safest method to get help: Post your entire Carrier Settings for this carrier AND the Dial Prefix and a Sample Phone_Number/Dial_Code from a lead whose call fails (change the last four digits of the phone number to avoid giving away a prospect #, but don't change anything else so we can see the data structure).

Welcome to the party 8-)
