In-Group: Not a valid extension

Postby ejaboneta » Thu Feb 03, 2011 7:30 pm

I followed the managers manual tutorial on creating an inbound campaign. When a call comes in, I get the "not a valid extension" recording on the agents phone and silence on the callers phone. What might be causing this?

please show the CLI, and we'll SEE what might be causing this. :)

Do not post 3000 lines of code. Just from the moment the call comes in to the system.

Also: Do you have an agent logged in to that inbound group? Where do you have the DID pointed in Ingroups->DID?

The agent that is logged in hears the "Not a valid extension" recording when the call comes in. On the top of the screen it says in red "STATUS: Incoming: (925)303-0957 Group- 8888497005 Fronter: - 8888497005".

1)

when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

this IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system.

Similar to This:
Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X Build XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation

2)

It appears that your "next number" was "9". I think a few digits were missing.

are you trying to record this inbound call as well? where's this 83047777777777 coming from? does it appear in your extensions.conf or an included one? (it's not ringin a bell with me)

Code: Select all

Interesting. How did it get into your inbound call path? Is your InGroup "stock" or have you modified it?

can you dial that extension? that seems to be where it's falling down ... it fails on that, then attemps 's' as a failover, then fails completely and gives up.
Code: Select all
    -- Executing [78600051@default:1] MeetMe("Local/010*010*010*008*78600051@default-c18d,2", "8600051|Fq") in new stack
== Starting Local/010*010*010*008*78600051@default-c18d,1 at vicidial-auto,83047777777777,1 failed so falling back to exten 's'
== Starting Local/010*010*010*008*78600051@default-c18d,1 at vicidial-auto,s,1 still failed so falling back to context 'default'
-- Sent into invalid extension 's' in context 'default' on Local/010*010*010*008*78600051@default-c18d,1
apparently it expects that extension to be available in "vicidial-auto" and it isn't and there's a cascade failure after.

also try this:
Code: Select all
show dialplan 83047777777777@vicidial-auto

I can't dial 83047777777777. 8304 makes a beep and then hangs up. Is there something wrong with my installation? I'd like to avoid it but if I have to I can reinstall the whole thing.

I'm not sure what's changed since last time I tried but now it works, but still with the "not a valid extension" message. Both agent and caller can hear eachother but the recording plays at the beginning of the call to both.

I tried creating another in-group and it does the same thing.
